Operations Coordinator at the Fortifications Agency
The Fortifications Agency is seeking an Operations Coordinator for the staff unit at the Agency's management staff. As an Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for ongoing contacts with the agency's principal at the Government Offices and other relevant authorities. Your role also includes being responsible for the preparation of submissions to the government regarding investment matters. Your Daily Work – Strengthening Sweden's Defense Capability
The Fortifications Agency is currently in a strong expansion phase with large investment volumes to continue developing and building properties and facilities within total defense. We are one of Sweden's largest property owners and experts in fortification, which means protection and construction technology. Our main mission is to contribute to increased defense capability for a safe and free Sweden.
The management staff consists of the staff unit, property development unit, planning unit, and NATO unit. The staff unit works closely with the agency management on cross-agency governance. As an Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for contacts with the Government Offices (primarily the Ministry of Finance) and other agency contacts. You will also be responsible for preparing submissions to the government regarding investment matters and contribute to the work of governance, coordination, and follow-up of the agency's operations. The role also includes a quality assurance function for reporting assignments in appropriation letters and other government assignments. You will contribute to the unit's work in supporting management in decision-making and strategic considerations. The position involves many points of contact and collaborations both within and outside the agency. The role aims to contribute to good cooperation with the Government Offices, the Armed Forces, and other relevant authorities to promote efficiency in our production and contribute to a strengthened defense capability. The pace is high, and you will take significant personal responsibility. The answers are not always given or defined and often require innovative thinking.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is educated in political science or has another relevant higher education for the position. You have several years of experience working at the Government Offices or an agency with close contacts with the Government Offices. You have worked with preparing, implementing, and presenting qualified analyses and decision-making materials. You have good analytical skills and are used to writing texts and reports intended for the government.
You have good administrative skills, good computer skills as a user of support systems, and good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form. You have very good communication skills both orally and in writing in both Swedish and English. A Class B driver's license is a requirement.
It is advantageous if you have previous experience in property-related or defense-related issues. It is also to your advantage if you have experience in operational management or work in an organization in strong growth.

About the Employment
The position is a permanent employment and may begin with a probationary period. As a permanent employee, you will be placed in a war position. The place of employment is Stockholm or Eskilstuna. An employment with us requires Swedish citizenship and involves placement in a security class. A security screening with a background check will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
